About this site (throughout the site, please hover over the bold words for more information)

The heart of the site is based around the Search engine, which enables you to to look for images that fit your own criteria. You may, for example, search for all the images from a particular country or those that contain a specific subject. There are also buttons on the search page that allow you to see a gallery of just my Large Format work or only the newest images on the site.

The code around the search engine is written in Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) and uses a Microsoft Access database. The images are split in to 3 types - United Kingdom, Click here to go directly to the United Kingdom gallery Europe, Click here to go directly to the Europe gallery Rest of the World.Click here to go directly to the Rest of the World gallery These can be searched individually or all together.

The Web Diary Click here to visit my Web Diary page is in its infancy, but I am hoping it will become a central part of my site. I would love to hear from anyone about anything photographic and would enjoy getting into conversations about photography. Drop me a line and I will put anything interesting up here.

Anyone who visited my old site may remember the "Articles" page which has now been replaced by the Technique Click here to visit my Technique page page. Frankly many of the articles on my old site were out of date and in need of revision. I am starting to re-write some of the old articles that I feel are still relevant and I will be adding new subject matter to my list of articles over time.

To help with navigation I have incorporated the "hints" This is an example of a "hint" box at the top of the page. As you hover over certain elements, more information about what to expect is displayed. Many of the links on the site are treated in this way.

The site is designed to be viewed at a screen resolution of 1024 X 768 or larger. Smaller screen sizes will require scrolling.
